What is Silestone?
Silestone is an engineered quartz surface that is made of 93% quartz. The result is
an extremely dense product that can be used for kitchen countertops, vanities, and other surfacing applications.

Why is Silestone stain resistant?
Silestone is extremely dense, more so than plastic solid surface and natural stone.

What makes Silestone scratch resistant?
Silestone is composed of 93% quartz.
Only topaz, sapphire, and diamond are harder minerals than quartz.

Does heat affect Silestone?
Silestone can withstand normal cooking temperatures without scorching or burning. Direct application of hot pots is not recommended due to the risk of thermal shock.

How is Silestone maintained?
Silestone may be maintained by simply using normal household cleaners (dish soap, Windex, etc.).
